November seemed to pass as fast as it came, but that means the Holiday season is here! Time for snow fun and hot cocoa as we wait for Santa Clause to arrive! Make sure to mark your planner and not miss out on the events at Generation Next this month:
December 2011
December 9th: Employee Holiday Gathering - Both centers will close at 5:00PM on this day!
December 15th: Holiday Celebration – Santa will arrive at 9:30AM at the Aurora Business Park location
December 16th: Holiday Celebration – Santa will arrive at 2:30PM at the Johnston location
December 26th: Day after Christmas – Both centers will be closed today!
December 30th: New Years Party – ABP and Johnston Locations @ 12PM
Make sure our little ones are bundled up when they come to the center and have snow pants, boots, gloves, etc., as we will be having outdoor play in the snow when the weather is appropriate. Happy holidays to all from everyone at Generation Next!

It’s hard to believe that October is over and November is here! The temperature is beginning to drop so don’t forget to equip your children with appropriate cold attire for outdoor play. Here is a list of our upcoming events for November 2011:
November 1st and 2nd: Picture Day – Johnston Location
November 3rd: Picture Day – ABP Location
November 11th: Generation Next Birthday Bash and Book Excahnge – Johnston Location will be celebrating it’s 4th birthday! Cake, presents, and another wonderful year at Generation Next!
November 21st: Senior Formal Luncheon – ABP Location
November 22nd: Senior Formal Luncheon – Johnston Location
November 24th and 25th: Thanksgiving Holiday – ABP and Johnston Locations closed

A reminder that we will be having our Fall Costume Parade at Generation Next on Friday, October 28! You are welcome to bring a costume for your child to wear for the parade which will be held outdoors (weather permitting). The Johnston Center will be having there costume parade at 9:30AM and the ABP Center will be having there costume parade at 10:30AM.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Friday, October 21 we encourage everyone to wear pink in support of all those who have, have had, or know someone who is fighting this disease. Show your support and wear pink!

Halloween is here and it’s time to carve your very own pumpkin! Generation Next will be having a field trip to Iowa Apple Orchard in Urbandale to have each child pick out their very own pumpkin! The Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors from both centers will be the classes participating in this field trip and will have specific times and days in which they will go. Below you will find the times and dates for each class and their center and the arrival and departure times on those days:
Monday, October 24 – ABP Sophomores will leave @ 9:45AM and return @ 11:15AM
Tuesday, October 25 – ABP Juniors will leave @ 9:45AM and return @ 11:15 AM
Wednesday, October 26 - Johnston Sophomores will leave @ 9:45AM and return @ 11:15AM : ABP Seniors will leave @ 12:45PM and return @ 2:15PM
Thursday, October 27 – Johnston Juniors will leave @ 9:45AM and return @ 11:15AM : Johnston Seniors will leave @ 12:45PM and return @ 2:15PM
The cost of the field trip is $6 and can be paid for in cash before or on the date of the field trip or placed on your ledger. Happy Halloween!
