Week of the Young Child, April 15-19, is a celebration sponsored by the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and serves the purpose of “bringing public focus to the needs of young children and their families.” In agreement with this association, Generation Next will celebrate Week of the Young Child with special activities planned for each day:
April 15 – Community Appreciation Day
Each classroom will be making thank you cards and banners for local businesses and service workers.
April 16 – Parent Appreciation Day
A special thank you for all your support of Early Childhood Education. If you didn’t believe in early childhood education, you would not be here at Generation Next. Please stop in the break room for a “THANK YOU” bagel and breakfast goodies! (Adults Only)
April 17 – Teacher Appreciation Day
Parents are welcome and encouraged to give a big “thank you” to their child’s teachers. They work hard and deserve to be appreciated! Generation Next will provide a luncheon for the staff.
April 18 – Children Appreciation of the “Arts”
Take a tour of the center and see all the wonderful art exhibits. The children will be creating throughout the month and those creations will be displayed for you to admire!
April 19 – Fun for the Children! Magician Johnathon May
Local magician Jonathon May will perform a special show for all children at all centers today!
Make sure not to miss out on all of the events this week!
